Hand Stamped Placecards
I got a phone call from a dear friend yesterday, asking if I could make some placecards for a tea she’s hosting. I’ve never made placecards before, but I was totally willing to give it a go!
My first step was to design a document with the ladies’ names. I could have stamped the names, but I was trying to finish these in a short amount of time, so I decided to use some technology. I used one of my favorite fonts, MA Sexy and some handy RGB codes to match Close To My Heart’s Vineyard Berry Exclusive Ink.
Making the cards was easy. Just print the document on heavy cardstock and trim it to 4" x 3". After scoring and folding the placecards, set them aside. Stamp the hat image using the CTMH stamp set "Youthful Heart" and use a waterbrush to color the sash on the hat. Cut the hats out, then accent them with a fun Sparkle.
I used 3-D Foam Squares to adhere the stamped hats to the placecards. As a final touch, I added some simple detailing with My Legacy Writers (.02 tip).
I think they turned out lovely and more importantly, my friend loved them!!
